NASA’s Parker Solar Probe and the ESA/NASA Solar Orbiter have captured the closest-ever images of the Sun. Flying within just 3.8 million miles, Parker revealed dramatic solar eruptions and fine structures in the solar wind, while Solar Orbiter observed mysterious mini-flares called “campfires.”
