Representatives for various nations, the European Union, and the African Union convened in London on Tuesday, pledging to send hundreds of millions in aid to Sudan, where the ongoing civil war has wrought the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. The war, which pits the Sudanese army against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces since April 15, 2023, has killed tens of thousands and displaced millions, with no pathway to peace in sight entering its third year.
