Negotiators due in Cairo for Gaza talks: ‘It’s unclear what exactly they’ll be talking about’

Israeli and Hamas negotiators were converging on Cairo on October 5, for talks to end nearly two years of war in Gaza. FRANCE 24’s Noga Tarnopolsky tells us more. “The talks are going to start tomorrow and it’s unclear what exactly they’ll be talking about”, she said. “For one, because Israel announced that the only subject they are willing to discuss is the release of the hostages (…) but there are many others subjects, and many, I would say, still inconsistencies between demands being made by both sides separately.”
