What began as a local dispute over the weekend between Druze and Bedouin communities in southern Syria escalated on Wednesday when Israel bombed Syria’s Ministry of Defence and other sites in Damascus. The Syrian Ministry of Health reported that at least three people were killed in the Damascus strikes. Additional Israeli air raids on Wednesday targeted the southwestern provinces of Suwayda and Deraa. Syra analyst from Malmo University, in Sweden, Orwa Ajjoub tells us more.
