Opening up about your mental health takes Guts — but Olivia Rodrigo helped make it a bit easier for her tour crew.
While on The StageLeft podcast’s June 29 episode, the pop star’s guitarist Daisy Spencer revealed Liv and her tour manager made sure the whole team was OK throughout the Guts World Tour. The 31-year-old musician said the deja vu hitmaker and her tour manager Marty Hom came together to cover the costs of everyone’s therapy during the tour stops AND breaks:
“Olivia and Marty Hom made accessible and free therapy for all of the touring personnel.”
Aww… What a great resource!

Daisy went on to add she definitely took full advantage of it, too:
“Suddenly, I had this free resource of incredible therapists and I utilized the crap out of that. I was going, you know, once a week, once every other week, whenever I could. And it was even during the off time — we also still had access to this resource. Honestly, that was one of the coolest things that has ever happened on tour.”
AH-Mazing!!
Therapy can be expensive, so it’s amazing to hear that Olivia made sure everyone had access to it for the entire duration of the tour! She was really looking out for them! And crews can get pretty large, so that’s no small thing!

Mental health matters — especially in a whirlwind industry like the touring one. We’re glad to hear Olivia and her management take it so seriously. Of course, she herself has been very outspoken about mental health for her entire career, saying in the past she’s been in therapy since she was 16.
It’s so important to normalize these types of conversations. There’s no shame in the game of taking care of yourself.
