Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Social Media Post Published One Day Before His Death Will Break Your Heart

It’s still so hard to believe that Ozzy Osbourne is dead.

As we reported earlier on Tuesday, the Prince of Darkness passed away while being surrounded by loved ones. He was 76 years old.

But just one day before his death, the Black Sabbath singer took to Instagram to make one final social media post. And it’s the content of that post that has fans feeling both incredibly heartened, and remarkably saddened.

On Monday, the Mr. Crowley singer posted a picture to his IG account showing a hallway backstage at a venue with a sign reading “Back to the Beginning — The Final Show” in the middle of the frame.

That, of course, is a reference to the final Black Sabbath show with its original lineup — Geezer ButlerTony IommiBill Ward, and Ozzy himself. The signage also included an old pic of the foursome in their younger years.

The Osbournes alum posted the pic without any caption, choosing instead to let the image speak for itself:

And then, a day later, he passed. So sad — and so poignant.

Fans have been pouring into the comments section to reflect on how that final show, which went down earlier this month among the four musicians, was just the thing Ozzy needed to say farewell. Here are just a few of the many, many comments shared (below):

“Thank you for sharing your life with us. Love you and rest well.”

“Forever in our hearts.”

“Rest in peace Ozzy, we love you”

“last concert was what he needed to let go”

“Mama he’s coming home”

“RIP Prince of Darkness. Thank you for all that you’ve done for the world.”

Our hearts…

Share your condolences (below).
