Ten years on, France is paying tribute to the victims of the 2015 Paris terror attacks – including through music. The city of Paris commissioned composer Victor Le Masne – who was also the musical director for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games – to create a new work in memory of the victims of the November 13th attacks. He has written a moving piece titled Requiem des Lumières – a “Requiem of Light” – to be performed by the Radio France Choir and the Republican Guard Orchestra during a special ceremony this evening at the new memorial garden near City Hall, attended by President Emmanuel Macron. Details by FRANCE 24 culture editor Eve Jackson.
