Pixies have announced details of a huge UK outdoor gig, taking place at On The Mount at Wasing in 2026.
Announced for the 2026 line-up today (October 20), Pixies are the first headliners to be confirmed for the forthcoming instalment of the UK concert series.
Held at the Wasing Estate near Reading, the band will take to the stage on Saturday June 27. The concert will see founding members Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering, together with bassist Emma Richardson, performing as part of their 2026 tour dates, which celebrate 40 years since their formation in 1986.
“We are absolutely delighted to be launching our new series at the unique and truly special venue On The Mount at Wasing,” said Ollie Rosenblatt, founder and CEO of promoters Senbla and Senior Vice President of Sony Masterworks. “It’s very exciting to be bringing the array of acts we are going to be announcing over the coming weeks to this stand out site and audiences.”
“Marrying the right venue to the right artists is what elevates an outdoor show from being just good, to totally exceptional, and we are confident that the artists we have at Wasing is true to the making of that exceptional marriage,” Rosenblatt added. “We couldn’t be happier to launch with the genre-defining Pixies. It will be a wonderful show and event and we cannot wait for the Summer to come to make it a reality.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday (October 24) at 10am. Visit here for tickets.
The new show comes as an extension to Pixies’ recently announced 40th anniversary UK and European tour for next year – which includes a show at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London.
Since then, they have added some festival slots to the itinerary too, including a headlining slot at Bearded Theory and an appearance at NOS Alive in Portugal.

Pixies released their ninth and latest studio album, ‘The Night The Zombies Came’, last October. Speaking to NME around that time, the group discussed the possibility of performing more of their classic albums in full on tour after doing so with ‘Trompe le Monde’ and ‘Bossanova’.
In the time since that 2024 record came out, the band have also opened for My Chemical Romance in Toronto as part of the latter’s North American ‘Long Live The Black Parade’ tour.
