Pope Francis and Africa through the years

Pope Francis has visited several African countries, focusing on issues like poverty, conflict, and climate change. His visits include Kenya, Uganda, and the Central African Republic in 2015, where he called for peace and reconciliation. In 2017, he visited Egypt to promote interfaith dialogue and support the Christian community. Later, in 2019, he traveled to Mozambique, Madagascar, and Mauritius, advocating for peace, social justice, and environmental protection. Throughout his visits, he has emphasized solidarity with Africa’s marginalized populations.
