Happy almost Prime Day to all who celebrate. While it formally falls on July 8 through 11, Amazon dropped prices ahead of the sale on the usual suspects (Apple, laptops, TVs, headphones, etc.) as well as categories you might not expect, like Lego building sets.
If you’re looking for a creative way to kill some time and beat the heat this summer, or a fun gift for practically anyone in your life (kids and adults), you really can’t go wrong with a Lego set. There’s something for everyone, from kits that help toddlers build critical thinking skills to gorgeous floral kits that double as decor. And the best part is you don’t have to pay full price, as lots of different building sets are on sale for Prime Day.
Make note that many Lego sets may seem like a good deal, but they’ve actually been sitting at the same “deal” price for five months or more. While it’s not down to its lowest price ever, the Lego Ideas Vincent van Gogh “The Starry Night” building set is one of those Lego sets that rarely gets discounted. We’re hoping to see the price drop even further, but at over $20 off, it’s already a pretty solid deal for what you get: a 2,316-piece building set that constructs a 3D Lego wall art homage to one of the most beloved paintings. The set is a collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and really captures Van Gogh’s colors and brushstrokes through creative building techniques. When you finish building, you’ll have a gorgeous piece of art for your home — all for just under $150.
