Is Prince Harry trying to overshadow Prince William??
It just so happens that on the day the heir arrived in Brazil for a five-day royal trip, coinciding with his Earthshot Prize ceremony, his younger brother made a surprise pseudo-royal trip to Canada! No wonder he started rooting for the Blue Jays in the World Series! Hah!
Apparently, Harry was invited to Toronto by the military veterans group True Patriot Love Foundation on Wednesday, where he was expected to enjoy a luncheon with the charity just hours before William hands out the awards at his event. Later that night, the father of two is planning to attend a private fundraising event with the Halo Trust. He’ll go on to visit a veterans center and attend the 17th annual True Patriot Love National Tribute Dinner the next day. All this at the same time that William is in Brazil attending his own engagements. The timing can’t be a coincidence, right??

Well, now Harry’s spokesperson is already clapping back at critics who are calling him out for the overlap! According to RadarOnline.com, the rep argued:
“The events were planned nearly a year ago.”
Meanwhile, William only announced Rio De Janeiro as the location of this year’s Earthshot Prize in April and the specific date of the ceremony in June. So, that means Harry would’ve put his plans in motion first — though it doesn’t mean he’s still not being a little shady!
But the rep doesn’t want to take the blame for that! Instead, they’re tying it to Harry’s security issues! The spokesman explained:
“We are always guided, as to when we can announce trips like this, by the advice given to us by his private security advisers and the event’s security team.”
Hmm. On the one hand, it makes sense. They don’t want to reveal his whereabouts too soon. But that hasn’t stopped Harry and Meghan Markle from announcing other trips way in advance… Just saying. Still, the rep carried on denying any attempts at upstaging Will, adding:
“The date of the main event, the dinner, is set by the charity, not Prince Harry.”
The period of remembrance in the UK and Commonwealth runs from November 1 to Remembrance Day on November 11, as it “has done so since 1918, over 100 years,” and the Spare author “can’t choose to move those dates,” the insider pointed out:
“This visit, months in the planning, marks a return to a city that has a special place in the Duke’s heart, having played host to the Invictus Games back in 2017.”
And, obviously, that’s where the Suits alum was living when they started dating! But we have to wonder if he also liked the idea of heading out on a trip at the same time as his big bro, knowing he’d steal some attention away?
