Uh oh! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just lost a HUGE amount of their staff! Not again…
People confirmed on Friday that FOUR members of the couple’s team have parted ways with them in recent weeks. Dang, that’s a lot at once! Those who left included LA-based Deputy Press Secretary Kyle Boulia and UK Press Officer Charlie Gipson, both of whom joined in April 2024 and were part of some of the couple’s most high-profile outings within the past year, per Hello! Just over a year, and they’re already gone?! Wow.

The two other staff members that left were said to be from the Sussexes’ private team. This likely will not be the end of the shake-up, either. A source told the outlet:
“Something tells me there will be another change in the future. Meghan and Harry have hired some of the most incredible people at the top of their fields, yet somehow none of them ever work out.”
That said, others are trying to downplay the exits. Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hired Meredith Maines to be their first Chief Communications Officer. She explained the change in a statement:
“As the Duke and Duchess’s business and philanthropic interests grow, I have made the strategic decision to move toward a more traditional communications structure of specialist agency support, as previously reported in Forbes and PR Week several weeks ago.”
She continued:
“Transitioning from a team of two to an agency support staff of eight, operating across five different time zones, will give international media and stakeholders better access, and critically, faster response times to inquiries.”
Hmm.
The team has seen other recent additions, including hiring former Netflix staffer Emily Robinson as the new Director of Communications. While at the streamer, she reportedly oversaw publicity for The Crown as a senior publicity director, among other responsibilities. Of course, she did. LOLz! They’ll also be utilizing a team from Method Communications to help out with media coverage.
Whether or not these exits were intentional, it looks BAD for the ex-royals! They’ve had so many people leave their team — and many after only a short time on the payroll, which just makes those pesky bullying and bad boss allegations look worse for the Suits alum.
