Even if Prince Harry can somehow find a way to reconcile with his father King Charles III, don’t expect things to be as simple with Prince William. Sources think there’s only ONE thing that will reunite the brothers at this point — and it’ll be a very temporary truce at that! Yikes.
Speaking to Us Weekly on Wednesday about the princes’ ongoing feud, an insider sadly speculated that Charles’ funeral is likely the only thing that will bring the brothers together. The insider expressed:
“The funeral of Charles would be the first time that courtiers would imagine [them reuniting]. I can’t imagine William would invite Harry to his coronation.”
Whoa. We can’t say we’re surprised as William and Harry have been estranged for many years — with no end in sight. But it is quite a depressing thought. When the day comes that they have lost both their parents, you’d like to think they’d have each other to lean on — but at this point, it sounds like we’ll be lucky to even see them in the same room together.

It makes us wonder: when they put on Charles’ funeral, will they put their differences aside like they did for Queen Elizabeth II? Or will they continue to avoid each other at all costs as they’ve done at other family events? Only time will tell.
The Duke of Sussex hinted at how bad things were between him and the rest of the royals in an interview with the BBC last month, in which he revealed he’s been completely cut off from his relatives amid the 76-year-old’s cancer battle. He remarked:
“I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
Those comments “absolutely appalled” the Prince of Wales, according to the same source, who added the 42-year-old feels like his younger brother stooped “so low” in the explosive interview. They’re never seeing eye-to-eye anymore!
Acknowledging that this is part of the problem, royal commentator Amanda Matta noted that the men would need to “engage in open, honest dialogue” for them to move past this icy dynamic — and that’s a lot easier said than done. She dished:
“Any reconciliation between the brothers would require so much more than just a single conversation. It would demand a real reckoning with the emotional damage on both sides.”
Seeing as Harry has made several public pleas for reconciliation at this point, Amanda believes the “ball seems to be in William’s court” and guessed any future conversation “would likely happen privately.” She explained:
“This isn’t just about two brothers falling out like you and I would understand it. This complex and widening rift is about two very different worldviews. One is rooted in preserving tradition, the other in breaking from them when they start to cause harm.”
The big problem is nobody in the Palace trusts Harry or his wife Meghan Markle, so it’s an uphill battle to start having those raw conversations! And frankly, with so much baggage at this point, a “basic working relationship” between the brothers and their wives would be “hard to rebuild,” even if they did start working through their issues. Amanda added:
“Right now, it feels like they’re speaking entirely different languages.”
Perhaps Charles can take the first step in bringing this family back together before it’s too late? His willingness to make amends would probably go a long way, but he sure seems unmotivated to do that so far…
What do U think, Perezcoius readers? Is there any chance of William forgiving Harry once their father passes? Let us know (below).
