OMG! Robert Irwin just got caught dining and dashing! But in a surprising twist, he’s the one calling himself out on it. LOLz!
On Sunday, the Crocodile Hunter‘s son revealed he had a “funny story” to share on Instagram. He’s currently “roadtripping down the east coast of Australia.” He decided to check out the Jetty Pavilion restaurant in Coffs Harbour amid his trip “for a bit of dinner” and ordered a salad to go. But then things quickly got a little out of hand when tons of fans noticed him.

The reality star recalled:
“Little did I know this place is the place to be. It was packed.”
He made a point to say “hi to absolutely everyone” as it “turned into a bit of a frenzy” as fans wanted to say hello and take pictures. Amid the “flurry,” the staff got his order ready “super fast” so he could make a quick exit.
But then the next morning, he had a shocking revelation — he “never paid”! Ratting on himself, the wildlife conservationist dished:
“I just did the old dine and dash and didn’t even realize I’d done it. I felt terrible.”
He called up the hot spot and offered to pay over the phone, but they insisted it was no problem because they “love” what he does and were honored he stopped by. But he really wanted to do something to pay them forward, so they suggested he leave a “good review.”
Well, the 21-year-old did them one better by taking to his IG and asking his almost 8 million followers to support the “fantastic local business” with a “great team,” “great food,” and “amazing atmosphere.” He also promised to return on his way back to pay for his salad, teasing:
“Today is not the day I start my life of crime — as much as the tabloids would love that.”

The establishment was “blown away” with the high praise, responding:
“We can only imagine how hard it must be to enjoy a quiet meal without being bombarded so thank you again for choosing us, and no stress about missing the payment! We’d absolutely love to have you back anytime… we might even have to name a salad after you.”
Robert’s sister Bindi Irwin started following the restaurant and their mother Terri commented:
“Can’t wait to try the @robertirwinphotography salad special next time I’m in Coffs!”
