Russell Brand Pleads NOT GUILTY To Rape Charges! Get Ready For A Trial…

We have a wild — yet altogether unsurprising — update in the Russell Brand case!

The Crown Prosecution Service charged the 49-year-old actor with five counts of sexual assault and rape in the UK last month. Now, he is pleading not guilty to all the charges. According to TMZ, Russell appeared in Southwark Crown Court in London on Friday and formally proclaimed he is innocent of one count of rape, one of oral rape, two instances of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault.

It’s not shocking the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star pleaded not guilty. He vehemently denied all the assault allegations against him – though he admitted he was a “fool” and “imbecile” while battling drug and sex addiction. Hmm.

We won’t know for a while if Russell will continue to use that excuse in court. He is scheduled to attend a pre-trial review on May 20, 2026, and the trial starts the following month. For now, the judge said he will remain out on bail.
