Russia could start testing nuclear weapons again

Russia has not conducted a nuclear test since 1990, the year before the collapse of the Soviet Union. But at a Russian Security Council meeting on November 5, President Vladimir Putin said the Kremlin could possibly restart its nuclear testing programmes. The Russian leader’s statement is the latest escalation in a tit for tat response to US President Donald Trump’s order the week before.
