At least six people were killed overnight and on Saturday as Russia continued to pound Ukraine with hundreds of drones and missiles as part of a stepped-up bombing campaign that has further dampened hopes for a breakthrough in efforts to end the more than three-year-old war. The goal of Russia’s drone attack on Ukraine is to “terrorise the Ukrainian population”, FRANCE 24’s Douglas Herbert said in an analysis.
