Ryan Lochte’s new GF is splashing onto the scene… And she’s already rocking the boat!
Over the holiday weekend, the Olympic swimmer went full-blown Instagram official with his new girlfriend just a month after wife Kayla Rae Reid announced their separation.
In a Story post uploaded by a woman named Molly Gillihan — and reshared by Ryan — the two pose cheek-to-cheek as the athlete has his arms wrapped around her. Gillihan tagged Ryan and dropped an American flag emoji to celebrate the Fourth of July. See (below):
But that wasn’t the extent of Molly’s social media activity!

On Monday, Ryan’s new woman seemingly got in a dig at his ex. You see, just last week Kayla posted on Instagram seemingly alluding to Ryan cheating on her and what a “betrayal” it was. See her posts (below):
But Gillihan swears there was NO cheating. According to TMZ, she addressed the scandal in a statement on Monday:
“It’s okay to be so happy that your heart could explode out of your chest and you want to shout it from the rooftops. If you’ve felt it, you know this to be true. We would not be here if we had anything to hide or if there had been any betrayal that occurred along the way. This little goofball came into my life patiently, sincerely, and honestly. I am choosing him.
@ryanlochte.”
Damn! “If there had been any betrayal.” She really used the same exact language Kayla did — she was definitely responding to her comment! But is she speaking the truth or just doing some damage control? We mean, this is awfully fast to have a new relationship going IG official, right? After nearly seven years of marriage?? Smells like overlap to us.
We actually heard Ryan cheated on his wife quite a bit. Probably not just with one person. It sounds like Molly here is calling BS and defending her man. It would hardly be the first time a new GF was sure she’d be the exception… only to get cheated on herself in time. We guess time will tell!
