If you’re constantly misplacing your keys, phone, or wallet, a smart tag can help you keep track of them. For Android users, the compact Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 tracker is a more budget-friendly alternative to the Apple AirTag that makes it easy to keep tabs on the things you care about most. It’s a smart way to monitor luggage, everyday essentials, and more—and right now, they’re 48% off for Prime Day.
Compatible with phones and tablets equipped with Android 11 or later, this upgraded Galaxy SmartTag features an IP67 waterproofing, which stands up to brief submersion and dust. It offers a long-lasting battery life that lasts up to 500 days, and when Power Saving Mode is switched on, it can last up to 40% longer.
With a Bluetooth range of up to approximately 120 meters and compass guidance and ring alerts from the SmartThings Find App, you’ll be able to locate items that are nearby and ensure more precise tracking. Setup is seamless with Samsung Galaxy devices, and while Samsung and Android users are generally happy with performance, some Amazon reviewers note that it doesn’t work as smoothly with Google phones or non-Samsung devices. It also features an NFC button that integrates with the SmartThings ecosystem and can trigger routines for added automation, making this an ideal device for Samsung users.
The tag itself lacks a key ring and requires a separate case or cover. It’s also worth noting that this device finds via Bluetooth or other Samsung devices rather than using real-time GPS-level tracking. As a result, it’s not ideal for use as a pet tracker if your dog or cat has a tendency to wander off. If they tend to stay nearby but you don’t have visibility, this tag may still be helpful when attached to a collar, which some Amazon reviewers have reported success with. Overall, if you’re part of the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem and are looking for a more streamlined way to keep track of your items, at just over $15, the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 tracker offers strong value.
