A month before the divorce battle blew up between actor Scott Wolf and his now-estranged wife Kelley, the star was pulled over by a highway patrol officer for going WAY above the speed limit. And strangely, that information has only come to light recently amid all the myriad other updates going on in this super sad saga.
So, way back on May 11, Scott was driving his Audi Q7 along Utah Highway State Route 191, according to a police report first uncovered late last month by DailyMail.com. But per the allegations in that outlet, the Party of Five alum wasn’t just driving home like a normal person might do. No, he was ABSOLUTELY FLYING down the road!!!

A report later filed by the Utah Highway Patrol officer who pulled Scott over claimed that he’d clocked the 57-year-old actor driving his white Audi at a whopping 128 miles an hour in a 65 mph zone.
WTF??
That’s freakin’ two mph short of being DOUBLE the speed limit!! Crazy!!
The officer thought so, too. He cited Scott for driving way over the speed limit by hitting the star with a reckless driving charge. That’s a Class B misdemeanor in the state of Utah, FYI. So, Scott was forced to show up at the courthouse in San Juan County, Utah on May 28 — a little more than two weeks after the incident — to face a judge over the issue.
And at the hearing, the judge actually sentenced Wolf to five days in jail!! However, there was one big caveat: the sentence would be suspended if Scott agreed to pay a $690 fine. Well, he did just that, and the whole thing went away. Er, sort of. In addition to the fine, the judge placed Scott on probation for the next six months. So, there’s that. And under the terms of his probation, DM notes that Scott has to notify the court of his current address at all times from now through nearly the end of the year, when that order expires.
But with the fine paid, the case was closed, and that was it. Until now — when everybody seems to just be learning about this wild run-in with the law nearly two months AFTER it happened and only amid the contentious divorce he and Kelley are now going through.

By the way, here’s the weirdest part: per the police report, the officer said that when he asked Wolf why he was going so fast, the actor replied that “he was in a hurry because his child needed to use the bathroom.”
WHAT?!
Wait, hold up… does that mean there was A CHILD in the car? Going that fast????? Huh???
Scott should be thanking the officer for pulling him over. Driving at that speed? He’s VERY LUCKY that lil’ road trip didn’t turn out way worse. VERY LUCKY.
