The trial of the year is over. The jury is back.
Diddy has been found guilty on prostitution charges, and was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering. The prostitution charge carries as much as 10 years in prison per count. Prosecutor Maurene Comey said they would seek the maximum of 20 years in total.
Lawyers have already put in a request to release Diddy from federal detention to his home in Miami and offered a $1 million bond. We’ll know about how the judge decides on that soon.
He was originally charged with two counts of sex trafficking, one count of racketeering conspiracy, and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
The rap mogul was first accused by ex Cassie Ventura, way back at the tail end of 2023. He bravery led others to speak out — and got the ball rolling on the government’s investigation. Soon they were raiding his mansions, finding guns, drugs, and of course… lots and lots of lube.

Both Cassie and a more recent ex, identified only as Jane Doe, testified that at first everything with Diddy was consensual. But then the violence started — and began coercing them into his “freak off” sex parties with intimidation and drugs. The details we’ve learned of the sexual abuse have been horrible.
The defense didn’t even try to refute the descriptions of events. Instead they went with the tactic of agreeing Diddy was guilty of domestic abuse… but that he had never intended to coerce anyone into anything sexual. That his intent wasn’t to commit criminal acts but just to have fun sexcapades with his consenting partners. And though he may have beaten them, his legal team argued, that didn’t mean they were afraid of him. Well, we all know how well that worked out for them now.
This trial may be done, but of course the case against Diddy continues as accusers continue to speak out. Over these past months he has been accused of rape, violence, the sexual abuse of minors… This isn’t over. Not for Diddy, of course, but perhaps not for some of his famous friends either…
