After months of legal battles and political uncertainty, Dakar’s mayoral office is turning a new page. The Senegalese capital has shifted to the colors of PASTEF, the ruling party. In an extraordinary session, city councilors elected Abass Fall as the new mayor, succeeding Barthelemy Dias. The former mayor was removed from office last December following a final conviction for involuntary manslaughter. Details by FRANCE 24 correspondent Aminatou Diallo.
