Serbia: Thousands of Serbians commemorate anniversary of deadly station collapse

Tens of thousands of people gathered in Novi Sad, Serbia, to mark the anniversary of the railway station roof collapse that claimed 16 lives on 1 November 2024. At 11:52 – the exact time of the tragedy – attendees observed a 16-minute silence in memory of the victims. The disaster sparked a nationwide wave of mass protests against political corruption.
