US President Donald Trump’s plan to take over “ownership” of the Gaza Strip prompted shrugs and bewilderment in the streets of Jerusalem on Wednesday, says FRANCE 24’s Mark Owen, pointing to similar views being voiced by members of Trump’s entourage in recent months. “The concept goes back to what Jared Kushner floated back in March, when he talked about the potential of waterfront property in the Gaza Strip, and you can imagine a Trump Hotel (…) sprouting from the ruins of Gaza,” he explains.
