South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will meet US President Donald Trump at the White House on Wednesday amid tensions after the US president accused South Africa of allowing a “genocide” to take place against White farmers there. Trump’s allegation that Afrikaners were being mistreated was at the centre of his decision in February to freeze US aid to South Africa.
