South Park has continued its mocking of US President Donald Trump in its latest episode, which features him attacking federal body the FCC and “freedom of speech.”
The 27th season of the animated satire has made the American leader a target of many of its plotlines, portraying him as being in a relationship with Satan and also having a micro penis.
The White House initially condemned Trump’s portrayal, remarking that the show “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years.” The show’s creators responded with a mocking apology at San Diego Comic Con in late July.
The show was also embroiled in controversy following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on September 10. Many MAGA (Make America Great Again) supporters argued that a previous episode of the show, where the character Eric Cartman parodies Kirk, fostered hostility toward conservatives and drew links to the murder. However, Kirk’s producer said the influencer “loved” that he was featured on the show.

The latest episode, ‘Conflict Of Interest’, is the fifth in the current season and continues the storyline of Trump’s relationship with Satan, who previously announced he was pregnant with the politician’s child. Throughout the story, Trump lays traps for Satan in attempts to get rid of the pregnancy, only for the head of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), Brendan Carr, to unwittingly walk into all of them.
Following the final injury, Vice President JD Vance visited Carr in the hospital. The doctor informs him that the patient is healing, but “may lose his freedom of speech.”
The joke is likely a parody of The Trump Administration’s alleged interference with critics of the President in the media through the FCC, which many perceive as the reason for talk show host Stephen Colbert’s show coming to an end, as well as the temporary suspension of Jimmy Kimmel from his show following a joke made about the murder of Charlie Kirk.
All episodes of South Park are available to stream on Paramount Plus in the UK.
The latest episode was delayed after the creators of South Park posted: “We didn’t get it done in time.” The news led to fan speculation that the episode was “definitely finished, just not allowed to air.”
