France 24 correspondent Sarah Morris reports from Madrid, after Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez closed the two-day NATO summit in the Netherlands still uncommitted to the 5% defence spending target other allies had agreed to in accordance with US President Donald Trump’s demands. Sánchez insisted Madrid would find its own way to reaching the objective, while some claim the Spanish leader had in fact agreed to the new spending rate but sought to placate his government’s left-wing allies.
