Violence in Sudan intensified over the weekend. Since the regular army took control of the capital Khartoum last month, paramilitary forces have stepped up attacks on refugee camps around El Fasher, including Zamzam camp, home to more than half a million refugees, which has been the scene of heavy shelling and gunfire over the past two days.
