Israel’s army said Monday it has struck military tanks in southern Syria, where government forces and Bedouin tribes clashed with Druze militias. “Sweida has been a real focal point of violence,” said FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Jerusalem, Israel Noga Tarnopolsky. “It’s the spot where the new government of Ahmad al-Sharaa has not managed to take control and where marauding gangs of bedoins, who the Druzes suspect of having the support of the governmnet, have been attacking Druze communities.”
