Tarek El Moussa‘s recent trip with his wife Heather Rae and their parents to Las Vegas took a violent turn!
On Tuesday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to multiple outlets that the HGTV personality got into a nasty physical altercation with another man while in Sin City last week! Per Us Weekly, law enforcement responded to a battery incident at The Palazzo at the Venetian Resort after receiving a call at 11:06 p.m. on Thursday.
Witnesses at the scene claimed to TMZ that Tarek kneed the guy’s head, knocking him out cold! Whoa!! One person said the incident was “bad,” and the man looked seriously hurt. But when cops arrived, he declined medical attention. Police took a crime report and cited the Flip or Flop star for battery — but did not arrest him.

It’s unclear exactly why the fight broke out, but a source close to Tarek claimed to Page Six that he was “protecting his elderly father” after the man got out of line with his dad. He hasn’t commented publicly about it yet, FWIW.
Heather, who was with Tarek but reportedly not involved in the quarrel, posted unrelated stuff about their getaway over on Instagram, FYI. The entire family was apparently in Vegas to support Tarek at a speaking event, and the Selling Sunset alum shared some behind-the-scenes videos and pictures of it! She wrote:
“Not our average Vegas trip… watched Tarek do his thing on stage (so proud!) and made it extra special by bringing our parents along for the ride. We got to show them a glimpse behind the scenes — our world, our work, and of course, the glam. Grateful for these moments that we get to spend together.”
