Taskmaster have announced the contestants for their upcoming New Year Treat – check out the full list below.
The BAFTA-winning Channel 4 game show, hosted by Greg Davies and Alex Horne, completed its 20th season on Thursday night (November 13), and as with the last five years, the next instalment of the series will come with a one-off festival special that will air over the New Year period.
This time around, it will take the form of a two-episode special and as before will differ from the main show by involving non-comedians as contestants – previous winners have been actors Sue Johnston and Lenny Rush, athlete Mo Farah, dancer Shirley Ballas and presenter Adrian Chiles.
Also on its way is the latest Champion Of Champions special, which will see previous winners Sam Campbell, John Robins, Andy Zaltzman and Mathew Baynton return alongside this week’s season 20 winner Maisie Adam.
The release dates have yet to be announced for either the New Year Treat or Champion Of Champions, while the 21st season of the main show will air in 2026.
Since its 2015 debut, the show has gone on to air in 120 countries and has found success on YouTube with 1.9million subscribers and 895million views since their official channel launched. Taskmaster: The Live Experience has also been a success in London.
Earlier this year, footage emerged of the original stage incarnation of Taskmaster, which was first performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2010.
