Teen Tragically Plummets To Her Death After Unbuckling Parasailing Harness In Shocking Viral Video

A teenage girl has tragically died in a parasailing excursion gone wrong.

Tijana Radonjic sadly passed away last Wednesday while on vacation in Budva, Montenegro. According to local outlet Republikka, the 19-year-old was parasailing when she panicked midair. She unbuckled herself and plummeted over 160 feet into the Adriatic Sea.

Holy s**t… Terrifying.

There’s haunting footage of the incident circulating around social media depicting Radonjic, who was originally from Serbia, scrambling to remove her life jacket before picking at the buckle securing her to the parasail. And when she finally manages to rip it open, she just slips out never to be seen alive again. How incredibly awful.

Witnesses claim she may have suffered from a panic attack as she was allegedly screaming “Put me down!” in the moments leading up to her fall. And what makes the situation even more tragic is that she reportedly wasn’t even the one who originally inquired about going up in the rig… According to Kuirr, she was approached on the beach by the parasailing company and was offered a free flight. Mirko Krdzic, owner of the company, told the outlet:

“We are all in shock after the accident that happened … I do not know exactly what happened. She did not show any fear of flying. She underwent training after which the tragedy followed. Technical inspections of all the equipment are underway and the results of the autopsy are awaited.”

Her lifeless body was later recovered from the water and an investigation is currently underway. We’ve decided not to include the viral footage, but it’s out there if you’re so inclined.

Our hearts are with Radonjic’s loved ones. Rest in peace.
