Teenage Girl Killed Her Parents — Then Posted A TikTok Video About It, Say Cops

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

A 17-year-old girl has been accused of shooting and killing her mother and stepfather, only to then post selfie video tributes to both of them on TikTok where she said things like “I miss them” and they were “wrongfully shot dead.”

On Tuesday, cops in Carroll County, Georgia arrested a 17-year-old girl named Sarah Patrick. They say she was active on her now-deleted TikTok account posting videos after the death of her parents, which occurred back in February. But that’s the super chilling thing there, because cops also claim she was the one who killed them!!

So, back in February, Sarah called 911 and reported that her parents Kristin Brock, 41, and James Brock, 45, had been shot and killed. The teenager’s 5-year-old sister had been the one to find the bodies, and the little girl ran to Sarah not knowing she was the alleged shooter.

Police investigated the shooting for five months, until earlier this week when they went to the home of Sarah’s biological father, with whom she was staying after the murders, and arrested her for the crime. Now, they say she was the one who shot them. But you’d never know it if you had seen the TikTok videos Sarah was posting before her arrest!

The first post mourning her parents’ deaths came on March 1 — just ten days after the killings. In a text overlay above a video on that social media site, the then-16-year-old Patrick purportedly wrote this, according to Law&Crime:

“They don’t know it but a year from now me and my 5-year-old sister would find them wrongfully shot dead in our home and won’t get to watch me graduate high school, see me walk down the isle, and couldn’t even say goodbye.”

In another TikTok video posted a few weeks after the murders, Sarah purportedly wrote a text overlay that read:

“If you asked me about my mom and step dad, I’d say I miss them so much. I feel so home sick and I miss them so much I can’t stand the fact I can’t see them anymore this sucks more than anything possible. I’m in a horror movie that never ends.”

Per local news outlet WXIA, that text continued:

“And on top of everything I still have no answers, im so confused on how someone could’ve done this and even more confused on why. Why them? Why that? Just why. How could they.”

Sarah even reportedly captioned the post:

“Please send prayers for healing.”

Over the five months between when the murders occurred and when she was arrested, Patrick allegedly posted content on TikTok about their deaths with some regularity. In one video upload from May 17, per Law&Crime, the teenager reportedly questioned how someone could shoot her parents, then wrote this jaw-dropping phrase:

“Should prob delete later”

Uhhh…

Following Patrick’s arrest this week, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Ashley Hulsey spoke to reporters. As far as the accused teenager’s alleged culpability, Hulsey made it sound like investigators are zeroed in on the killer:

“We feel confident that she is responsible for their murders.”

But here’s the other unsettling part: other people might still be arrested for their involvement.

Hulsey said that it took cops five months to zero in on Sarah because they wanted to be completely certain they had the right person in such a sensitive case. And now, after sifting through what Hulsey called “mountains of physical and digital evidence” in the investigation, detectives are trying to determine if Patrick had some kind of help to do what she allegedly did:

“It’s very possible others are involved as well. We are still working with her diligently, our investigators have been speaking with her.”

Whoa.

As far as seeking answers, tho, Hulsey was at a loss. She alluded to an apparently difficult living situation Patrick had experienced prior to the murders. But beyond that, the law enforcement officer couldn’t come up with a reason why:

“We don’t know what goes through the mind of a child who wants to harm their parents. She’s 17. She’s kind of been out on her own. She’s lived with different family members and moved all over the place.”

To that end, cops say they still haven’t pinned down a motive for the killings.

Meanwhile, the two slain parents are survived by their seven children — kids they’d brought together into a blended family before their untimely deaths. As for Patrick, TooFab reports that she faces the possibility of life in prison without parole if she is ultimately convicted in the slayings.
