Thai court suspends prime minister over leaked call with Cambodia’s ex-leader

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra was suspended on Tuesday as the Constitutional Court deliberates whether she breached ministerial ethics. A leaked recording revealed Paetongtarn describing Thailand’s military leader as her “opponent” as she discussed a long-standing territorial dispute with Cambodia’s former leader Hun Sen, referring to him as “uncle”.
