The Israeli military on Monday said five UN trucks carrying humanitarian aid were allowed into Gaza via the Kerem Shalom crossing after nearly three months of Israel’s blockade. UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher welcomed the move, but said it was a “drop in the ocean of what is urgently needed”.
