‘The President of the US needs to play the role of the unifier of this nation, not a divider’

Speaking on FRANCE 24, Jonathan Katz, Fellow in Governance Studies at Brookings in Washington and Co-Editor of the 2025 Democracy Playbook, says that ‘anybody fanning the flames is not helpful at this moment and what we need to hear from leaders, whether it’s President Trump or private sector, is to hear about how do we solve these problems and work together’.
