The View Can’t Believe Trump Would Consider Pardoning Diddy!

The View has a LOT to say about Donald Trump considering a Diddy pardon.

On Tuesday, the daytime talk show’s hosts including Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Joy Behar, and Sara Haines sounded off on the President’s comments regarding a potential pardon for Diddy if he’s convicted. ICYMI, his exact words were:

“I know people are thinking about it. First of all, I’d look at what’s happening… I haven’t spoken to him in years. He really liked me a lot.”

With everything the defamed rapper has been accused of, Trump’s words have certainly stirred up a LOT of controversy. And the ladies on The View are on the frontlines!

During Tuesday’s episode, Whoopi started off by highlighting The Apprentice alum’s recent pardon for Todd and Julie Chrisley. The then showed a clip of Trump talking about Diddy before slamming his “shameful” remarks. Sunny claimed she’s “disgusted” by Trump’s use of power and pointed to the 1,500 people he pardoned who were “January 6th insurrectionists who had assaulted police officers.” As for Diddy, the former prosecutor added:

“I’ve been in that court room almost every single day and we’re hearing about women who were physically abused, who were sexually abused, who were mentally and emotionally abused. The thought that [Trump] would just consider it, and he himself has been found civilly liable for sexual abuse … The fact that he would be so dismissive of these charges is really something that is shameful. It’s just shameful.”

Alyssa tagged on by highlighting how celebrity cases typically have “two sides” — but how Diddy’s is much more clear cut:

“I don’t know anyone in public life who’s like, ‘Oh no. He’s a good guy, and he’s getting a bad deal here.’”

Seriously! She also brought up rapper 50 Cent, who has been extremely vocal about his desire to see Diddy brought to justice:

“50 Cent has had a bit of a relationship with Trump … He came out and said he was going to talk to Trump about why he should not pardon Diddy because he’s been all on Diddy’s things for years and been calling him out for it.”

She continued:

“I think [Trump] sees people who have fame and followings as people that — if he pardons them — they’re going go out and spread his message.”

Whoopi called it all “more clown show stuff” before Sunny pointed out there usually should be an “office at the Department of Justice that reviews each and every pardon application, but it doesn’t seem to be happening anymore.”

Just so wild. You can hear them talk more about it (below):
