If you’re a DIY enthusiast, an oscillating multitool is a versatile game-changer that can help you tackle cutting, sanding, buffing, and scraping for a variety of projects. My cordless oscillating multitool is the hardest-working cordless tool I have, apart from my drill and driver, because I can use it for plumbing, finishing woodworking projects, cutting trim, and plunge cutting drywall. What’s included

The DeWalt 20-volt oscillating multitool set comes with a 2-amp-hour battery and charger, so it’s ready to use out of the box. The set also comes with both a fast-cut wood blade, which is good for general trimming and flush-cutting on woodworking projects; and a wood-with-nails blade, which is good for cutting through installed trim. The depth guide included in the set allows you to plunge cut material like drywall without hitting what’s behind it. The universal adapter allows you to use multiple attachments with your tool, and the sanding pad with the included 25 sheets of sandpaper allows you to start sanding and finishing right away. You’ll also get a case for your tool accessories and a tool bag for storage.

Why you need an oscillating multitool

If you have a DIY shop, you know that tools take up a lot of space, and having the correct tool for what you’re doing will make your life easier. An oscillating multitool will do many jobs, so you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck.

You can cut PVC with the right blade in this tool, making it useful for plumbing or automated drip irrigation projects, along with using wood blades for cutting trim or flush-cutting joints on woodworking projects. The universal adapter allows you to swap blades and accessories quickly so you can cut different materials easily. It has three speed settings so you can choose how fast you want to cut or sand, and the tool, with all of its attachments and blades, weighs less than 2.5 pounds. There’s an LED light on the front of the tool, allowing you to work in dark corners without needing a flashlight.

Because this tool comes with a variety of blades as well as the sanding pad and paper, it’s a good starter kit, especially if you’re new to using an oscillating multitool.
