A TikTok star has been accused of killing a US Marine in front of the man’s fiancée and son after an exchange in a mall parking lot in Houston, Texas last month.
So, back on June 3, police in Houston say that 30-year-old Anthony Sanders was shot in the parking garage of the Houston Galleria. Sanders, a US Marine veteran, was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital in the south Texas city, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Not long after the early June murder, a 23-year-old man named Marko Cinan (above right) was arrested and charged with homicide. He was booked into Harris County Jail.

And on Monday of this week, the case took a new development: a TikToker with more than 50,000 followers on that social media platform turned himself in and was also arrested in the case. That 22-year-old man’s name is Justin Guzman, and just like Cinan, he was charged with murder.
Per Harris County Jail records cited by the New York Post, People, and others, Guzman (above left, and center) is facing a $750,000 bond and a court date scheduled for next week. Cinan, who has a court date on the same day, had his bond set at $1,000,000.
Per KPRC, Sanders was with his fiancée Selena and the couple’s 10-month-old son at the time of the shooting, which took place at about 5:00 p.m. on June 3. Per court records, the suspects allegedly got into an argument with Sanders about his fiancée.
At some point, Sanders attempted to drive his car out of the parking lot, but police records claim Cinan and Guzman’s car blocked him in and refused to allow him to leave. Then, when Sanders got out of his car to complain about that, cops say Guzman and Cinan allegedly shot him TEN TIMES right in front of his fiancée and son.
Horrific…
Speaking to KTRK news, Sanders’ grieving mother Ronyel Sanders said:
“I guess both parties had disagreements. They got back in their car. Anthony’s car was behind theirs. They didn’t allow him to leave. Brake checked him, put their car in reverse, and tried to smack his car.”
For his part, Guzman’s attorney Romy Kaplan told People that his client was defending himself. The victim in the crime was allegedly “looking to confront 3-5 young men with a knife and a gun in his waistband,” Kaplan claimed. The attorney also claimed that Sanders was tailgating Guzman’s car and tried to engage him before the TikTok star “opened fire in self-defense.”
Kaplan told that outlet:
“If Justin Guzman is not allowed to defend himself from imminent threat of death or injury, then no one in Texas will be able to defend themselves in the future.”
Hmmm… yeah. Just one LITTLE problem with that: according to court records pulled by that very same outlet, Sanders was unarmed. Yep. So. Yeah…

Anyways, per KPRC, Sanders’ family reportedly sent to the prosecutors various TikTok clips of Guzman dancing, rapping, and pretending to shoot guns as a signal as to his intentions and general attitude. You can see at least a few of those clips (below):
