We let ourselves get all excited that these two might be hurtling towards the land of the long-term A-list power couple. But alas, here we are picking up the pieces of our personal disappointment… LOLz!
So, on Wednesday night, we reported on a shocking insider claim that Tom Brady and Sofia Vergara are having a “summer romance.” To hear that source tell it to Page Six, the New England Patriots veteran and the Modern Family superstar had connected on a megayacht that left Rome last week bound for Ibiza. And before the yacht could reach the party port, Tom and Sofia were linked up in romance! Or… something.
But as it turns out now, that insider’s claims are being pushed back on. Just a little bit, at least!

Later on Wednesday night, a separate source spoke to TMZ about the NFL legend’s romantic interest in the Colombian-born bombshell. And that insider pushed back hard against the “summer romance” claim the Page Six source made.
To hear this new mole tell it, the quarterback and the actress are having less of a “summer romance” and more of a fling. Which, hey, there’s nothing wrong with that! That second source merely pumped the brakes pretty hard on this connection being any more serious than something short-term.
In fact, this new source straight-up told TMZ that it was “ridiculous” for the Page Six insider to alleged the duo was having anything as serious as a “summer romance.” Which, um, uh-oh! Looks like we’ve got dueling insiders duking it out with a war of words aimed at each other through different media outlets now! LOLz!
Anyways, like we said, this new insider was keen to explain the pair is far deeper into fling territory, and far less looking for their connection to last for years, or even months more.
Which is fine! There’s nothing wrong with having a little fun, right? Heck, both Tom and Sofia have recently been put through the wringer with the very public conclusions of their very high-profile past relationships. So, in that context, it makes perfect sense that they would want to have a little fun.
And really, what better place to have a hot hookup than on a superyacht traveling between Rome and Ibiza? Haven’t we all been there, Perezcious readers?
Okay, well, not us. LOLz. But Tom and Sofia sure have now!!!
