On Friday, April 11, Chinese leader Xi Jinping urged the European Union (EU) to join Beijing in “standing together” against “coercion” amid an ongoing trade war with Washington, according to the Xinhua news agency. The next EU-China summit is scheduled for July in China, a European Council spokesperson announced on Friday.
