US President Donald Trump on Tuesday renewed attacks on the Smithsonian Institution, threatening to cut its funding due to its focus on ‘how bad slavery was’ in the US. He said the prestigious museum complex should instead focus more on success and the future. The Smithsonian, which was established in 1846, includes 21 museums and galleries dedicated to history and culture, as well as the National Zoo.
