Donald Trump’s protectionist measures are hitting Africa hard. Lesotho is the most severely taxed country, with a rate of 50%. Madagascar and Mauritius are next, with taxes of 47% and 40% respectively. South Africa, Botswana, Angola, Libya, Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire also face important taxes.
