The British government has announced a toughening of asylum laws that aim to make it easier to deport unsuccessful applicants. However the move also proposes to review applications periodically to assess risk in the country of origin. The government says it is in response to a crisis that is out of control but critics say it will punish vulnerable people and do little to address the real problems. Oliver Farry has the latest.
