US, China trade truce comes into effect bringing short-term relief for markets

A truce ending a 90-day trade war between The United States and China came into effect on Wednesday, offering short-term relief to global markets. Under the new agreement the two superpowers slashed steep duties which had been hiked to well over 100 percent.
