Over 1,400 US flights were canceled Saturday after airlines cut traffic due to the federal government shutdown. Nearly 6,000 more were delayed, down from 7,000 on Friday, FlightAware reports. The FAA is reducing capacity at 40 busy airports as unpaid, fatigued air traffic controllers work. Lawmakers remain deadlocked over ending the shutdown, now in its second week.
