Hamas said the agreement signals a desire to advance ceasefire talks, while the US’ exclusion of Israel in negotiations reinforces reports of US President Donald Trump’s dismay towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom he reportedly sees as obstructing peace talks.
