The United States on Thursday raised to $50 million its reward for the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who was indicted in the US on drug trafficking charges in 2020. The US, which does not recognize Maduro as the South American country’s legitimate leader, reiterated its belief that Maduro is “one of the largest narco-traffickers in the world and a threat to our national security.”
