After delivering his Easter greetings to a crowd estimated at over 35,000 from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Francis delegated the reading of his traditional “Urbi et Orbi” (“To the City and the World”) benediction to an associate. “It was a prayer for peace. He highlighted the situation of the vulnerable and the marginalised around the world,” France 24’s Seema Gupta reports.
