Venezuela opposition’s Machado promises ’empty’ voting booths for legislative elections

Maria Corina Machado said Thursday her opposition party’s call for a boycott of the upcoming Venezuelan gubernatorial and legislative elections will “empty” polling stations as President Nicolas Maduro continues to cling to power despite persisting doubts over his reelection and reported crackdowns on civil rights.
